How to take care of facial hair-without waxing?

For eyebrows, etc.

I'd like an all natural product. I have seen the results of plucking and waxing and do not want to go that route. Is there another route that I can go?

Also, I tan, so if I use a bleach product to lighten the color of the facial hair-that normally messes up my tan.

Any advice would be great! How to take care of facial hair-without waxing?
Well you can do threading or you can get smooth away (they sell it at places like bed bath and beyond)How to take care of facial hair-without waxing?

I'm guessing you are a woman/female. So here is what I have to say.

Im not trying to advertise but for my birthday I bought myself ';Smooth-Aways'; from Fred Meyers. They worked great on my face, and it even came with a mini smoother! I have gathered a list of websites that will take you to some reviews and instructions!

this is a review from thriftyfun.com

personally really like the Smooth Away system. I've read the comments, and I don't find a lot of the negative comments written here to be a problem for me personally.

While on a recent trip to CVS, my husband Jamie saw a display of Smooth Away kits and decided to surprise me with it when he got home. (He remembered me commenting on how much I'd like to try it... every single time we saw the commercial on TV! What can I say? Dude's got an AWESOME memory! LOL!)

I, of course, was super-excited and pretty much TORE into the packaging when he gave it to me! =D Here are the Pros and Cons of this product, in my opinion:

PROS:

1) The kit is pretty inexpensive, especially in comparison to other hair-removal methods/tools available on the market today,

2) If you follow the directions (';rub 3 times clockwise then 3 times counter-clockwise';) the results are pretty amazing and uniform,

3) It gets just about every single hair,

4) I've found that buffing the hair off my legs takes roughly half the time that shaving them does,

5) I love that it exfoliates my skin (especially on my legs), along with removing the hair, leaving a perfectly touchable, satiny-smooth finish every time, therefore reducing or even eliminating the need to apply lotion after using,

6) The hair on my legs grows back less and less coarse each time I use it, I don't have to buff nearly as often as when I shaved, and I don't have ANY painful/infected razor-bumps or ingrown hairs to deal with,

7) I've NEVER gotten a rash, had any irritation whatsoever, or experienced any other 'skin-trauma' problems, as some of the other reviewers have stated here. I think the trick is not only to be gentle while buffing away the hair, but also, if needed, to use a hypoallergenic, fragrance-free lotion after buffing to reduce irritation (my personal fave - Vaseline Intensive Moisture Locking Lotion Unfragranced); and finally,

8) The kit is readily-available and easy to find in most drugstores and Supercenters, as well as online.

CONS:

1) The whole Smooth Away kit is CONSIDERABLY less expensive than just the replacement pads are,

2)The buffing pads don't last all that long (I can only do one leg before I have to peel the old pad off and replace it with a new one - and I have very fine, thin hair on my legs!),

3) It doesn't work very well on my bikini area (I think I'll just stick with getting a bikini wax every 6-8 weeks!),

4) Did I mention that the replacement pads are hard to find, not to mention that the price is pretty astronomical? LOL! =)

Bottom Line:

For leg hair and light facial hair removal, I HIGHLY recommend trying the Smooth Away system; for underarm and bikini line hair removal, I'd still recommend shaving or waxing (For those of you who have never had your armpits waxed, I'll be the first to tell you that it's not nearly as painful as you'd think it would be... it's TOTALLY worth the $10-$12 it costs to get it done; for me, having my eyebrows waxed hurts 10-times more!).

So, there you have it! I hope this helped and that you found it to be useful and informative.

Oh, and if anyone knows where online I can get the replacement pads for a decent price, please let me know! You can contact me at scbeauty1983 @ bellsouth . net (remove spaces).

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
